Adult Shakespeare
· 7:00 PM–9:00 PM
Register Here Join local theatre director and Shakespeare nerd, Jonathan Bontrager-Waite, for a deep dive into the techniques of Shakespearean acting. Through a series of games and exercises, we’ll explore the unique challenges of performing poetry and learn the tricks actors use to make sense of 400-year-old lines. Then we’ll put those skills to work, bringing classic scenes and monologues to life. The class will culminate in a showcase on April 23 at 7PM, celebrating Shakespeare’s 463rd birthday! If your schedule doesn’t allow you to commit to the full 15 week session, please reach out to GT Education Director, Katie Barnes, for further information on how to still participate! (gtdc@goshentheater.org) Jonathan Bontrager-Waite is a founding member of the Goshen Shakespeare Players, and had the privilege of directing their inaugural production of Macbeth. He is involved in theatre education through Goshen Theater Education Department and local schools, most recently as a dialect teacher for The Secret Garden at Bethan Christian Schools. He has worked on nine shows at Goshen Theater, including as director of the Fall 2025 production of Cabaret and the upcoming production of Once. Register Here
