Emotion Explorers

· 11:00 AM–11:30 AM

Sensory Books Join us as we use art to learn about our emotions, practice resilience, and learn coping skills. Intended for pre-school-aged children and their grown-up, participants in this program will read Here and Now by Julia Denos and explore different ways to cope with big emotions. After reading the book, participants will create a personalized sensory book filled with textures, colors, and interactive elements designed to help them feel calm, grounded, and connected to the present moment. This program is being led by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate from Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana. Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana (MHANI) is an advocacy and education non-profit organization founded in 1954 whose mission it is to promote the mental and emotional health of the community by offering advocacy, education, support services, and hope. Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
