Winter Snowflake Decoration
· 2:00 PM–3:00 PM
Intro to Sewing Preparations Learn the steps of preparing to sew a Winter Snowflake Decoration. After the program, bring your items to Studio Hours to use the Studio's Sewing Machine or hand sewing tools to finish your project! Come to the Studio at Georgetown, to learn where to start with your own sewing projects by preparing materials and patterns for a winter snowflake decoration. Patrons will learn how to read patterns, select fabric and thread, and have everything ready to sit down at a machine and sew. There is no sewing done within this program, only the steps leading up to sewing (machine or hand). Patrons will receive the supplies and knowledge to finish their project during Studio Hours. All Studio Hours are listed online at acpl.info/the-studio. Limited to 12 participants. This program was designed for 7th grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist them throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervising caregivers. Space is limited: Register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
